I had a request from my wife to make her a new bookshelf. She loves the classic farmhouse style and I had some rough cut cypress laying around and i figured it would be perfect for this piece. I used the typical X style braces on the sides and went with the classic dark stain/white combo for the finish. I also did some distressing in the finish in random areas to make it look a bit more rugged. I like how the piece came together, and my wife is getting lots of use from it already!
