So I was approached by a friend to construct a Magic Wand for him that had a hidden compartment that would house the engagement ring that he would use to propose to his girlfriend on their trip to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida. They obviously are both fans of the Harry Potter Franchise and he thought this would be an original way to propose and definitely a memorable one! So I got to work with a couple logs that had a unique shape to them and carved down the handle and turned the tip of the wand on the lathe. I ended up making two handles because the decorative handle is quite large and difficult to conceal in a pocket. The result was this creation and I am grateful I got to be a part of this joyous occasion!
