I was approached by a friend and he wanted me to build a sanbox for their small daughter. So I created a Sketchup drawing to determine how much lumber we would need and we quickly went to the local home store to gather everything we would need. All the materials involved totaled about what the large retailers were offering an inferior product for, so we were going to build one that would last for years out in the elements. It only took us a weekend and we had a sturdy product that the kids could enjoy!
